Happy 1st Birthday!!!

I am now officially one year old!  We celebrated my birthday on two days.  We had a birthday party with friends and family on July 7th and then we celebrated with just family on my birthday, July 10th.

These are pictures from the partay.

My aunt Stacie and cousins Eden, Luke and Eve came over the day before and helped decorate.

The party favors were bags of candy.

Here's Uncle Burch with Eden, Luke & Eve.  I was still snoozing when the party officially started.

It took me a little while to realize what was going on when I woke up.

Then I ate lunch.

My grandmothers helped with all of the food.

I had so much fun playing with everyone.

Eve thought Harris and I were funny eating our picnic.

Eden helped me walk around and visit with all of my guests.

Grammy, don't you love my party dress? I love how well it matches the hair bow from Auntie Kimberly.

All I had to do was raise my arm and Luke would jump to the ceiling!

Is it time to open presents?

What's in here?

Sophia! How did you know that I would love this?

I really enjoyed the cards. This one is from Harris.

Uncle Burch, are you getting this?  This is what you all brought me.

Oh! Pretty dress.

Does it look like my color?

Lydia gave me some frilly outfits that I like.

What does Lydia's card say?

Harris enjoyed my toys.

I'll want to play with both of these.

Let's get this out of the way.

Yea!  A racecar!

Everyone, thank you so much.  You're so very nice and thoughtful and you make me feel very special.

Then it was time for my birthday cupcake that Grandmomma made.

What are you putting on my head?

I'm going to eat.  This is fun!

Then things went very wrong when they put the string around my chin to hold the hat on.  They quickly took it off, but this was something that was hard to get over.

Not only was the hat upsetting, I've realized that I'm no longer in the months for my age.  That 1 on the cupcake looks like a big deal. I'm realizing how old I'm getting.

I bounced back fairly quickly once I touched this mushy thing in front of me.

What is this?

I don't get it.  Can you help me?

Now I get it.

Yours looks tasty.  I'd like to try some of it.

Yum.  Grandmomma made some tasty cupcakes.

We tried getting a picture with all of my friends and cousins.  It was a little challenging.

After everyone left we played with my new presents. My drum that lights up.

My racecar.

I read the owner's manual so that I knew how to get the most out of my toy.

I kissed the presents from "Aunt" Sarah.

I felt like a princess in my skirt from Mr. Aaron and Ms. Lori.

And my new shades from Lydia.

What do you mean "The party's over"?

It was such a nice time.

We celebrated with family at Grandmomma's & Granddaddy's on my real birthday.

I woke up at their house and had my birthday strawberries.  Daddy just knew that I would love them like he does.

This is supposed to be a good day.

Ok.  I'll try again.

 Molson, it's my birthday!

I gotta go open presents.

He told me "Happy Birthday" in dog speak.

Mom, Dad, Uncle Scott & Aunt Kensley

We're not so sure about that.

I had more cards & presents to open.

Hmm....where do I want to start?

This box is bigger than me!

I don't know why you're here.  I still don't like you.  I remember what you did to me the last time I saw you.

Aunt Kensley looks lovely in it.

Uncle Scott aka Major Fun doesn't even act like it's on him.

Dad, I'm not buying it.  It's not my friend.

Let's tear into this one.

Take my picture with the biggest present of all time.

Now I'll just pull here.

I'd like to keep this piece of paper as a momento.

It's a shopping cart! Thank you!!

Let me see what my cards say.

 These are so nice!

Now you see me.

 Now you don't.

Ha! I'm back!  I played this game for a little while.

Then it was on to more pressing matters.

I really got the hang of throwing the tissue paper out of the bags to see what was inside.

I gave my new puppy dog from Great Aunt Pat & Great Uncle Wayne a big kiss.

Here's everybody.

I let Molson come in for some photos since he acknowledged me earlier.

Then I went home and played.

Thank you, Lord, for a wonderful first year of life.

Bye!
