Baby Showers

The Luau Shower

This was at one of Katie's favorite restaurants on the lake.  Her mom, sister and friends from the youth orchestra were the organizers.  She absolutely loved it!

Kathy & Erin organized the games.  The first one was taking away someone's clothespin when they said the word "Baby".  Alanna won that game. The second game was looking at everything in the basket and then writing down what you remember on a card. Kensley was concentrating hard.  Heather won this game. Way to go girls!!

However, Katie won too because she got to keep the basket with all of its goodies.

How big is she???

Khoji won this game.  Congrats!!

Each person was asked to bring a baby picture of themselves. Before Katie could open any presents she had to guess who the baby picture belonged to and then open their present.  This was a little more challenging than she thought it would be.  This is Tammy with her adorable picture.

Katie loved the octopus that played music.

Katie M. was a huge help with the presents.

The lab tech, Caroline, wants to protect our little girl from germs.  We agree.

Will's sister, Bianca and her husband Derek, who live in Los Angeles, sent the super seat for their niece.  Katie was told that this seat is absolutely wonderful and we wouldn't want to live without it.  Thank you, Auntie Bonkers & Uncle Derek!

Gotta rest and drink after all of that.

The ladies.  Thank you to all of you!  It was so nice seeing all of you and being able to spend an evening with you was so special.  We appreciate all you do to help celebrate this milestone in our lives.

37 weeks! The baby really enjoyed wearing Kensley's dress and jewelry (even though Kensley could only find one earring).  It made her feel very festive. Thanks, Auntie Ding!

This was such a great shower! We feel so loved.  Thank you!!!

Shower No. 3
The staff at our church where I work part time gave us a shower.  I had been put on bed rest at this point so I was instructed that I can attend showers but I must keep my feet up and relax.

This is the youth pastor that I work with, Pastor Tim.

Once we were home it was straight back to resting for me.
Thank you, everyone!  It was a very thoughtful and sweet shower. It was nice to have a reason (that my doctor would allow) to get out and be with  people I enjoy.

Shower No. 2
My mom's dear friend, Martha and her daughter, Beth, gave us a delightful shower with my mom's friends. Thank you so much for such a wonderful afternoon!!

There are a few ladies missing from this picture but all of them have been a part of my life since I can remember.  They are all so very special to me.

The gracious hostesses

Ms. Martha and my mom have been friends since they were five years old.

Will and Mr. Joe parked cars and greeted all of the guests.

Ms. Martha and Beth had my mom in mind when they bought this gift :-)

And the auntie to be came in for the shower and to celebrate my birthday. What's a party without her????

Will is getting some good practice before she arrives :-)
Shower No. 1

Will's mother and aunt gave us a baby shower.  This was our first shower and it was so wonderful.

These are the gracious hostesses, Aunt Donna and Grammy Harriet.

Donna had already started cutting the cake :-) She was ready to eat.

My nieces, Eden & Eve, helped me open the presents.

This is my mom, Nancy.

Katie with her great aunt, Mary.
Katie's sister in law, Stacie and her daughter.
 Donna's daughter in law, Taunya.

The grandmothers.  Probably trying to decide who will keep the new grandbaby :-)

Eve was taking pictures and caught me at the end when I was ready for a nap.

Thank you Donna and Harriet!! This was a great day!
