My First Valentine's Day

Here are pictures from my first Valentine's Day.  It actually ended up being about three days of celebrating but it's all for the same reason: Love.

Grandmomma brought me a present with a card that was made just for me.

It talks about peek-a-boo? That's so me.

The present she brought me was a "Stack-a-Cake".

I found the tags!

This is soooo tasty.

This is great.  Thank you!

Found the candle!

Look! No hands! It's all in the jaws.

I surprised Daddy with a special valentine just from me.

Mom helped me make him a card with my picture on the front and a poem about his surprise on the back.

Let's go find them!

Here's one!

Looks tasty.

Where are the others?

Here's another!

Here you go, Dad.

We made hearts with the twist ties.

Mom and Dad gave me a balloon.

This was such a great toy!

Then I got a present.

What's in here?

It's a heart shaped book.

Can you read it to me?

Oooohh.  It's my first pop-up book.

Thank you!

Granddaddy & Grandmomma visited.

Grammy gave me a Speedo hat and swim diaper.

I really like them.

Thank you!

She also gave me my first computer.

I really like opening and closing it.

That was my first Valentine's Day!  I feel loved all of the time!

Eating Solids

I started eating solid food since I'm seven months old.  I started with rice cereal back in January.

Here I am sitting in the high chair that my ancestors sat in.  It must have a "good eater" anointing on it since they have all been very healthy all the way through adulthood.

This is my first taste of real food.

Are you sure about this?

Ah! What's going on?

I'm not so sure you know what you're talking about.  Have you tasted this?

What am I going to do?  I'm trapped.

They thought it would help to have other people feed me.

I've gagged, spit, gurgled, sneezed, coughed, talked and I thought now would be a good time to razz.

None of my attempts derail them. They just keep trying.

As time went on I started helping by grabbing hands,

the bowl,

and the spoon.

Squash was served up and I have to say it was not what I was expecting.

There's more?

Please.  I can't take any more of this.

Do you see how they treat me?

I guess I'll be better for it.

I liked sweet potatoes and carrots.

I will have to say that my favorites so far have been the green veggies.  YumYum.

It's been a long road but now I look forward to food.
