Week Two

Daddy took pictures of me while I was in my frog chair.

 

I like to sleep while I'm in my car seat.
 

Here I am waking up from a nap.

I am playing peek-a-boo.

I like playing with my dad.

My grandmomma and granddaddy came to visit me.

I smile a lot while I sleep.

This is my face when I'm leaving a present in my diaper for my parents.

My mom and dad like my curls.

I like being on my dad's shoulder.

My grandmomma thinks that I need to wear a cap to keep me warm.  I guess I will if I have to.

My First Week

My first night home was spent under the Bili Lights to help me with Jaundice.

It only took me two days to get better.

I had my first appointment with my pediatrician.  He was also my mom's pediatrician.

I like looking around.

I also like relaxing.

I'm smiling while I sleep so Grammy and Daddy are smiling back.



Right now I sleep in a bassinet.  I really enjoy sleeping.

Here I am!!

I was born on Sunday, July 10 at 9:38 am.  I weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and was 19 1/4" long.

I stayed in the hospital for four days.  Now I am home.

Build Her Library Shower

This shower was at our home on June 18th with friends from church. The theme was "Build Her Library". Everyone was encouraged to bring a book with their sentiments written inside in lieu of a card.  This is a sweet way to build memories.

The cake was so adorable and yummy.  It was made by Vanessa.

Now it's Amy's turn to fix her hair.

One of our games was to guess the candy bar that's in the diaper.  I was reminded that her diapers will not smell this yummy ;-)

 Lori won this one and the prize went to me.  It was a "Boo Boo Bunny".  It goes in the freezer and you pull it out when your child needs comfort for a little boo boo.

 Then we had two games going at once.  One was "How big is the belly?" and the other was "My water broke".  We each had a cup with a mini plastic baby that was frozen.  Whoever got their baby free first won.

 Lots of us were blowing in our cups to try and get our babies to break free but others used different tactics.

Darleen won the belly game.

The prize was two pair of socks.  One had polka dots and then there was this pair (her dad will love these!)

Everyone decided to look at the nursery and they had fun playing with the baby's clothes.

Her crib is in our room.

Time to open gifts!

Who could resist a little girl in an outfit like this? I think Katie B. is helping us plan for her first photo op.

 Dad stayed away as long as he could.  He had to sneak around and get some berries.

 This is one of the fanciest dipaer bags I have ever seen.  It comes with a bassinet/changing pad & tons of organizational pockets.  It's all-in-one. Thank you, Susan (we missed you) and Amy!

Kim's water broke first.  The prize was a giraffe that makes soothing noises for our baby.
